KATHMANDU: Financial contributions to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund and the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund continue following the recent flooding in the Bhote Koshi River in Rasuwa. According to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the total balance across various fund accounts reached Rs 17.06 billion as of 8:00 p.m. today.
The office stated that the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund holds Rs 12.57 billion across nine commercial banks. Additionally, dollar accounts maintained at Himalayan Bank and Laxmi Sunrise Bank contain a balance of 29.19 million US dollars.
The government has already disbursed Rs 1 billion from the collected funds for relief efforts in the flood-affected areas.
