PM Shah appoints 25-member secretariat team

KATHMANDU: The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has made public the details of the 25-member secretariat team serving Prime Minister Balendra Shah. The team, officially disclosed on Friday, consists of four advisors, one expert, and 20 personal staff members.

Three officials within the secretariat have been granted facilities equivalent to a cabinet minister. These include Chief Advisor Kumar Byanjankar, Political Advisor Asim Sah, and Honorary Health Advisor Prof. Dr. Jagadish Prasad Agrawal. Additionally, the Policy, Administration, and Governance Advisor Sudip Dhakal, along with the Information and Communication Technology Advisor Bibek Mishra, have been appointed with facilities equivalent to a state minister.

The secretariat also includes Principal Personal Secretary Subas Sharma, Personal Secretary Nabin Bhandari, and Personal Joint Secretaries Sanjeev Pandey and Dipa Dahal, who serves as the press and research expert. Furthermore, Santosh Giri has been appointed as the program and visit coordinator, while Bishwa Rai serves as an expert in social development. These staff members are entitled to facilities equivalent to a first-class gazetted officer. Prime Minister Shah was appointed to his position on March 27.
