KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah is scheduled to depart for New York on Sept. 22 to lead the Nepali delegation at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. During his visit, the prime minister will address the general debate of the assembly on Sept. 24.
While in New York, Prime Minister Shah is set to hold a bilateral meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the prime minister is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on Sept. 26.
Meanwhile, Minister for Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal will depart for New York on Sept. 20 to participate in high-level meetings, side events, and ministerial programs. During his stay, Minister Khanal is expected to hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts and other high-ranking officials from various countries.
The Nepali delegation includes Foreign Minister Khanal, Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister Kumar Byanjankar, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, and other senior officials of the Government of Nepal.
