KATHMANDU: Police have seized a large quantity of gold from the Budhanilkantha area in Kathmandu. Acting on a specific tip-off, a police team recovered 21 kilograms of gold on Thursday.
The operation was conducted by a team mobilized from the Valley Crime Investigation Office during a search of the area. According to police sources, 11 kilograms of the seized gold were in a finished state, while the remaining 10 kilograms were found in a raw state, prepared for processing.
Authorities have arrested several individuals in connection with the incident. A press conference has been scheduled for Friday to provide further details regarding the seizure.
