KATHMANDU: Electricity supply to Jumla and Mugu districts has been disrupted following the failure of a 25 kVA transformer at Pipaldanda in Mulfa Bazaar, Kalikot.
The outage occurred after the transformer malfunctioned at approximately 12:30 a.m. last night, leading to the shutdown of the Tila feeder. The disruption has affected power consumers across both districts.
Jay Prasad Pandey, a foreman at the Kalikot Distribution Center, confirmed that maintenance crews are currently working to replace the damaged unit. Officials stated that power service via the Tila feeder will remain suspended until the replacement work is completed. Pandey added that electricity supply will be restored once the installation process is finished.
