KATHMANDU: National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal held a courtesy meeting with President Ramchandra Paudel on Tuesday evening at the presidential residence, Sheetal Niwas. The discussion covered several contemporary issues of national importance.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the human and physical damage caused by the recent floods in the Bhotekoshi region. The conversation focused on ongoing search and rescue operations, relief distribution for the affected families, the management of temporary shelters, and plans for long-term rehabilitation.
Furthermore, the discussion touched upon the legislative activities of the National Assembly. President Paudel and Chairman Dahal reviewed the effectiveness of the current parliamentary session and the status of new bills currently under consideration in the house.
