KATHMANDU: Nepal has set a target of 236 runs for Canada in their ICC World Cup League 2 match being held at Al Amerat in Oman. After losing the toss and being invited to bat first, Nepal posted a total of 235 runs before being bowled out in 50 overs.
Captain Rohit Poudel anchored the innings with a century. He scored 101 runs off 126 balls, hitting 8 fours and 1 six during his stay at the crease. Other notable contributions came from Gulshan Jha, who scored 48 runs, Bashir Ahmed with 30 runs, and Arjun Kumal with 23 runs.
In the bowling department, Canada’s Akhil Kumar claimed four wickets, while Sukhjinder Singh took three. Zahid Mirza contributed by taking two wickets.
