KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane held a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During the call, Secretary Rubio expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life and property caused by the Bhotekoshi floods and conveyed solidarity with Nepal and the Nepali people, according to a statement issued by the party.
Lamichhane informed the Secretary that the Government of Nepal is mobilizing all available resources for ongoing search, rescue, and relief operations. He further assured Secretary Rubio that Nepal remains committed to the safety and protection of all foreign nationals in the country, alongside its own citizens.
Lamichhane expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the United States during this difficult time. In response, Secretary Rubio stated that the US is prepared to provide further support to the Government of Nepal.
