KATHMANDU: A service exchange agreement has been reached between the National News Agency (RSS) and Nepal Telecommunications Company Limited (Nepal Telecom).
RSS’s General Manager Sandip Rai and Nepal Telecom’s Managing Director Sangita Pahadi (Aryal) signed the agreement today at the Telecom office in Bhadrakali.
According to the agreement, Nepal Telecom will provide internet services to RSS, the National News Agency, and RSS will provide its news service to Telecom. At the programme held after the bilateral agreement, General Manager Rai and Managing Director Pahadi expressed confidence that the exchange of services between the two government agencies would help expand services for customers as well as strengthen relations.
They expressed the view that with the agreement, which was based on the concept of mutual cooperation and collaboration, both institutions would benefit as they exchange the available services from their respective organizations along with promotional programmes and the delivery of quality services.
The agreement takes effect from September 17, 2026.
