KATHMANDU: Social Development Nepal (SDN) and the Changunarayan Foundation (CNF) have announced a contribution of 10 million rupees to support victims affected by the Bhotekoshi river flood.
The flood, which occurred on Aug. 26, 2026, caused significant damage to lives, property, and critical infrastructure in districts including Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading. The organizations stated that the funds will be deposited into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
In addition to the financial support, SDN and CNF are preparing to launch a psychosocial and community support program titled ‘Healing through Art and Resilience’ in selected disaster-affected areas of Rasuwa. The program aims to provide emotional and psychosocial support to students, teachers, and community members through art-based activities.
The organizations have pledged to continue collaborating with the government and local authorities in areas of disaster response, rehabilitation, reconstruction, and sustainable development in the future.
