KATHMANDU: The Federal Parliament Secretariat has released the tentative agenda for the House of Representatives meeting scheduled for Monday at 11 am. The session is set to feature the introduction of half a dozen bills related to law and health sectors.
According to the agenda, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam, on behalf of Prime Minister Balen Shah, will present the ‘Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts, 2083’. Minister Gautam will first move a motion seeking permission to introduce the bill before presenting it to the House.
Additionally, Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security Sita Badi is scheduled to present the ‘Bill to Amend Some Nepal Acts Related to Women, Children, Gender and Sexual Minorities and Social Security, 2083’ after seeking permission from the House.
Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta is set to introduce four health-related bills. These include the ‘Bill to Replace Mother’s Milk (Sale and Distribution Control) (First Amendment), 2083’, ‘Safe Motherhood and Reproductive Health Rights (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’, ‘Health Workers and Health Institutions Security (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083’, and the ‘Ramraja Prasad Singh Academy of Health Sciences Bill, 2083’. The agenda was made public by the General Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat, Padma Prasad Pandey.
