KATHMANDU: A book, ‘Nepal-Japan Khel Sambandha’, penned by senior sports journalist Nabin Aryal, has been launched at Nagoya City of Japan on Friday.
The book was released jointly by Nepal’s charge d’affaires to Japan, Harihar Kant Poudel, senior vice president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), Robin Prasad Gauchan, president of the Nepal Soft Tennis Association and honorary president of the International Soft Tennis Association, Binay Bikram Shah, former player Dev Ghimire, ISKA World Champion, Abiral Ghimire, Mona ICC vice president Deepak KC, general secretary of NRNA-Japan, Shyam Shital Shrestha, and coordinator of Nagoya Regional Committee of NRNA-Japan, Yoman Dewan.
Charge d’affaires Poudel said the book was useful to understand relationship between Nepal and Japan. “I came to know from this very book that Nepal and Japan were connected five years before the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries,” he observed, expressing confidence that the book would be a milestone for Nepal-Japan relations.
On the occasion, senior vice president of NRNA, Sherchan, viewed he got a chance to understand sports relationship between Nepal and Japan after reading this book. Journalist Aryal’s book is a worth reading text both for Nepal and Japan. “This book helps Nepalis living in Japan understand the sports relationship between the two countries,” he added.
The sports relations between Nepal and Japan were established 75 years ago which has been finely incorporated by Aryal in the book.
