KATHMANDU: A 10-year-old girl has died following a snakebite incident in Parwanipur Rural Municipality-5, Nautan Tole, Bara. The victim, Sanjana Kumari, daughter of Manoj Sah, was bitten by an unidentified venomous snake while sleeping at her home on Sunday night.
Police reported that the incident occurred at approximately 11:55 p.m. Following the bite, the girl was immediately rushed to Narayani Hospital in Birgunj for medical treatment. Despite efforts to save her, doctors declared her dead at 12:29 a.m. on Monday night.
Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Rambalak Sah from the Area Police Office, Prasauni, arrived at the scene. The body of the deceased has been kept at Narayani Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police stated that an investigation into the incident is currently underway.
