KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three individuals with 30 kilograms of cannabis in Parsa. The arrests were made by a team deployed from the Area Police Office, Paterwasugauli, following a tip-off regarding the illegal transport of narcotics.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Malla of the District Police Office, Parsa, officers fired two warning shots into the air to stop the suspects while they were attempting to flee in Malahi Tole of Paterwasugauli Rural Municipality-1.
The individuals taken into custody include 50-year-old Mahesh Sahani and 34-year-old Nanda Lal Sahani, both residents of the rural municipality. Further investigation revealed the involvement of 75-year-old Bhuri Chaudhary, also known as Bhuti, who was subsequently arrested. Police stated that the case remains under further investigation.
