Three arrested with illegal drugs in separate incidents

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three individuals from different parts of the country for possession of illegal drugs. In Butwal, Rupandehi, authorities arrested 38-year-old Chandra Bahadur Khatri of Gulmi, currently residing in Butwal-11, with 390 milligrams of a substance appearing to be brown sugar. He was apprehended by a team from the Area Police Office, Butwal, at the local market in Butwal-4.

In a separate operation in Banke, police arrested 19-year-old Shankar Shahi from Bhevaniyapur in Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City-14. Shahi, a resident of Bheri Municipality-3 in Jajarkot, was found in possession of 280 tablets of Tramadol. The arrest was made by a team deployed from the District Police Office, Banke.

Meanwhile, in Kailali, police arrested 49-year-old Gauri Singh Mahara from Birendra Tol, Ring Road in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-3. Officers from the Ward Police Office, Dhangadhi, seized 64 grams of a substance suspected to be charas from his possession. According to the Nepal Police central news desk, investigations into all three cases are ongoing.
