A A+ A-

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives on Thursday unanimously approved a proposal to send three key economic bills to the relevant parliamentary committees for clause-wise discussion.

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle presented the Employee Provident Fund (10th Amendment) Bill 2026, the Citizen Investment Trust (3rd Amendment) Bill 2026, and the Payment and Settlement (1st Amendment) Bill 2026 before the house. He proposed that these bills be sent to the respective committees for detailed review.

The Speaker presented the proposals for a decision, and as there was no opposition from the lawmakers present, the motions were passed unanimously. With the bills now referred to the thematic committees, the process for detailed study, deliberation, and potential amendments on each clause of the proposed legislation will commence.
