KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that there is no significant chance of rainfall across Nepal over the next three days.
Meteorologist David Dhakal, in a video message released on Tuesday morning, confirmed that the weather is expected to remain generally stable.
Data from the past 24 hours shows no major rainfall in any part of the country. While some areas in the Terai and valleys have experienced light fog in the mornings, the afternoons have remained sunny. According to Dhakal, this pattern is likely to continue for the next two days. He noted that while there is a slight possibility of light rain in one or two isolated locations during the afternoon or evening, widespread rainfall is not expected.
Given that this is the peak harvest season for paddy, meteorologists have assured farmers that current weather conditions will not hinder agricultural activities. Dhakal urged farmers to disregard unauthorized reports circulating on social media regarding potential rain. ‘You can proceed with harvesting your paddy without concerns about the weather,’ he said.
The department has advised the public to rely solely on official information provided through the department’s website and verified social media channels for accurate weather updates.
