KATHMANDU: Xiaomi Nepal has donated 200 sets of essential household items to families affected by floods in Rasuwa. The relief materials were handed over to Kathmandu Chief District Officer Ishwar Raj Poudel under the company’s ‘Xiaomi for Community’ initiative.
According to the company, each relief set includes one pressure cooker, one frying pan, five plates, five spoons, six cups, five bowls, and one thermos bottle. In total, the donation comprises 200 pressure cookers, 200 frying pans, 1,000 plates, 1,000 spoons, 1,200 cups, 1,000 bowls, and 200 thermos bottles.
The company stated that the kitchen supplies were provided to assist the daily lives of families impacted by the floods and landslides. Previously, Xiaomi Nepal had contributed Rs 2 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund for the rescue, relief, and rehabilitation of flood-affected citizens in Rasuwa. The company noted that this latest distribution of relief materials continues its efforts to support the immediate needs of the affected community.
