RSP launches ‘We Listen’ campaign to hear public grievances

A A+ A-

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to launch a nationwide public outreach campaign aimed at directly hearing citizens’ grievances, complaints and suggestions.

The “We Listen” campaign will begin on August 10 from the party’s central office, Ghantighar, in Banasthali, Kathmandu, following a decision made by the party’s Central Committee.

RSP Joint General Secretary Hari Dhakal said at least two senior party leaders, including one member of the House of Representatives, will be present at the party office each working day to receive public concerns and help coordinate solutions with relevant government agencies.

According to the party, the initiative will gradually be expanded to all seven provinces and the 71 districts where the RSP secured electoral victories.

The campaign is intended to strengthen communication between elected representatives and the public, ensure citizens’ concerns are reflected in policymaking, and improve the party’s responsiveness to public issues.

RSP said it plans to develop the initiative into a permanent public engagement mechanism rather than limiting it to a one-time programme. The party is also stepping up preparations for International Youth Day 2026, with organisers reviewing progress at a meeting chaired by the event’s coordinator, Kabindra Burlakoti.
