KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today.
According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 152.91, while the selling rate stands at Rs 153.51.
The buying rate for one euro is Rs 177.46 and the selling rate is Rs 178.16. Similarly, one British pound sterling is valued at Rs 207.29 for buying and Rs 208.11 for selling. The Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 188.71 for buying and Rs 189.45 for selling.
The Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 108.23 and a selling rate of Rs 108.65. The Canadian dollar is fixed at Rs 110.23 for buying and Rs 110.67 for selling. Meanwhile, one Singapore dollar has been set at Rs 119.80 for buying and Rs 120.27 for selling.
The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.61, while the selling rate is Rs 9.65. One Chinese yuan has a buying rate of Rs 22.69 and a selling rate of Rs 22.78. Similarly, one Saudi Arabian riyal is fixed at Rs 40.73 for buying and Rs 40.89 for selling, while one Qatari riyal is set at Rs 41.95 for buying and Rs 42.11 for selling.
The Thai baht has been fixed at Rs 4.62 for buying and Rs 4.64 for selling. The buying rate for one UAE dirham is Rs 41.64 and the selling rate is Rs 41.80. Similarly, one Malaysian ringgit is valued at Rs 37.69 for buying and Rs 37.83 for selling.
For the South Korean won, the buying rate for 100 won is Rs 11.11, while the selling rate is Rs 11.04. One Swedish krona has a buying rate of Rs 16.08 and a selling rate of Rs 16.15. The Danish krone is fixed at Rs 23.74 for buying and Rs 23.83 for selling.
The Hong Kong dollar has been set at Rs 19.50 for buying and Rs 19.57 for selling. The buying rate for one Kuwaiti dinar is Rs 497.83 and the selling rate is Rs 499.79. Similarly, one Bahraini dinar is fixed at Rs 405.58 for buying and Rs 407.17 for selling, while one Omani rial is valued at Rs 397.16 for buying and Rs 398.72 for selling.
The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees is Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
NRB said the exchange rates could be revised at any time if necessary. It also clarified that foreign exchange rates offered by commercial banks may differ from those published by the central bank. The latest exchange rates are available on the NRB’s official website.
