Nepal Rastra Bank sets today’s foreign currency exchange rates

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for Wednesday, with the buying rate of the US dollar fixed at Rs 152.80 and the selling rate at Rs 153.40.

According to the central bank, the euro has been fixed at Rs 176.93 for buying and Rs 177.62 for selling. The British pound sterling is set at Rs 206.75 and Rs 207.56, while the Swiss franc is fixed at Rs 188.26 and Rs 189 for buying and selling, respectively.

The Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 108.63 for buying and Rs 109.06 for selling. Similarly, the Canadian dollar stands at Rs 110.17 and Rs 110.61, while the Singapore dollar is set at Rs 119.59 and Rs 120.06, respectively.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.57, with the selling rate at Rs 9.61. One Chinese yuan is fixed at Rs 22.66 for buying and Rs 22.75 for selling. Likewise, the Saudi Arabian riyal stands at Rs 40.70 and Rs 40.86, while the Qatari riyal is fixed at Rs 41.92 and Rs 42.08.

The Thai baht has been set at Rs 4.62 for buying and Rs 4.63 for selling. The UAE dirham stands at Rs 41.61 and Rs 41.77, while the Malaysian ringgit is fixed at Rs 37.64 and Rs 37.79, respectively.

For 100 South Korean won, the buying rate is Rs 10.84 and the selling rate is Rs 10.88. The buying and selling rates for one Swedish krona are Rs 16.05 and Rs 16.11, respectively. Similarly, one Danish krone is fixed at Rs 23.67 for buying and Rs 23.76 for selling.

The Hong Kong dollar has been set at Rs 19.48 for buying and Rs 19.56 for selling. One Kuwaiti dinar is fixed at Rs 497.48 and Rs 499.43, while one Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 405.31 and Rs 406.90, respectively.

Similarly, the Omani rial has been fixed at Rs 396.88 for buying and Rs 398.44 for selling. The buying rate for 100 Indian rupees remains at Rs 160, while the selling rate is Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank said the exchange rates could be revised at any time depending on market conditions. It also noted that commercial banks may quote different rates and that updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
