KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the official foreign exchange rates for today (Tuesday), setting the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs 152.19 and the selling rate at Rs 152.79.
According to the central bank, one euro is being bought at Rs 175.89 and sold at Rs 176.58. The buying and selling rates for one UK pound sterling have been fixed at Rs 205.37 and Rs 206.18 respectively, while one Swiss franc is valued at Rs 188.25 for buying and Rs 188.99 for selling.
The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been set at Rs 107.50 and the selling rate at Rs 107.92. One Canadian dollar is being bought at Rs 109.15 and sold at Rs 109.58, while one Singapore dollar has a buying rate of Rs 118.98 and a selling rate of Rs 119.45.
Similarly, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.58 and the selling rate is Rs 9.62. One Chinese yuan has been fixed at Rs 22.57 for buying and Rs 22.66 for selling. One Saudi Arabian riyal is valued at Rs 40.53 for buying and Rs 40.69 for selling, while one Qatari riyal is set at Rs 41.74 and Rs 41.91 respectively.
NRB has fixed the buying and selling rates of one Thai baht at Rs 4.61 and Rs 4.63. One UAE dirham is being bought at Rs 41.44 and sold at Rs 41.60, while one Malaysian ringgit has rates of Rs 37.21 for buying and Rs 37.35 for selling.
The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.74 and the selling rate is Rs 10.78. One Swedish krona is being bought at Rs 16.05 and sold at Rs 16.11, while one Danish krone has been fixed at Rs 23.53 for buying and Rs 23.62 for selling.
The central bank has also set the buying and selling rates of one Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.40 and Rs 19.48 respectively. One Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 495.57 for buying and Rs 497.53 for selling. One Bahraini dinar has rates of Rs 403.63 and Rs 405.22, while one Omani rial is fixed at Rs 394.28 for buying and Rs 396.84 for selling.
The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.
NRB said the exchange rates may be revised at any time as needed. It also noted that the rates determined by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates can be accessed through the central bank’s official website.
