NRB sets foreign currency exchange rates for today

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the official foreign exchange rates for today, with the value of major international currencies fixed against the Nepali rupee.

The central bank has set the buying rate of one US dollar at Rs 152.82 and the selling rate at Rs 153.42.

One euro has been fixed at Rs 178.83 for buying and Rs 179.53 for selling. The British pound sterling stands at Rs 208.73 for buying and Rs 209.55 for selling, while the Swiss franc is set at Rs 191.23 and Rs 191.98, respectively.

Similarly, the Australian dollar is valued at Rs 109.46 for buying and Rs 109.89 for selling. The Canadian dollar stands at Rs 111.17 and Rs 111.61, while the Singapore dollar is fixed at Rs 120.45 and Rs 120.92, respectively.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.64, with the selling rate at Rs 9.67. One Chinese yuan is set at Rs 22.74 for buying and Rs 22.83 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is valued at Rs 40.70 and Rs 40.86, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 41.93 and Rs 42.09, respectively.

The central bank has fixed one Thai baht at Rs 4.68 for buying and Rs 4.69 for selling. One UAE dirham is set at Rs 41.61 and Rs 41.77, while the Malaysian ringgit is valued at Rs 37.84 and Rs 37.99, respectively.

For 100 South Korean won, the buying and selling rates are Rs 11.04 and Rs 11.08. One Swedish krona is fixed at Rs 16.15 for buying and Rs 16.21 for selling, while one Danish krone stands at Rs 23.92 and Rs 24.01.

The buying rate for one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 19.49 and the selling rate is Rs 19.57. One Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 498.19 for buying and Rs 500.15 for selling, while one Bahraini dinar is set at Rs 405.34 and Rs 406.93.

Likewise, the Omani rial has been fixed at Rs 396.00 for buying and Rs 398.51 for selling. The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees remains at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

NRB said the official rates may be revised at any time based on prevailing conditions. The rates offered by commercial banks may differ from the central bank’s published rates, and the latest exchange rates can be accessed through NRB’s official website.
